Technology company Intel and British university esports body National Student Esports (NSE) have launched the 2024 edition of its FutureGen campaign.

The programme, organised by the two parties, assists the development of students looking to embark on careers in the gaming and esports industries.

Founded in 2018, Intel FutureGen has opened applications for its 2024 curriculum that will offer participants a mixture of digital and in-person experiences, ranging from guest speakers to industry events and workshops. Applications are eligible to all students studying full-time at universities in the UK.

In addition to the experiences, the Intel FutureGen buddy system returns to provide students with one-to-one mentoring from members of the esports industry to offer insight into a range of potential career pathways.

Since 2022, the programme has accepted a total of 20 students. For those who aren’t taking part in Intel FutureGen, the programme has announced that NSE members will have access to a range of training sessions through online broadcasts throughout the year.

Intel and NSE are no strangers to collaborating. In July 2023, the two parties renewed their partnership for a fifth consecutive year resulting in Intel remaining the headline sponsor of the British University Esports Championships.

Mark Broom, UK Consumer Client Marketing Specialist at Intel, spoke on the news: “We are thrilled to work alongside NSE for the fifth year of Intel FutureGen, continuing to foster the next generation of leaders in the esports and gaming sector.

“Intel takes pride in equipping students for their future careers and offering them valuable opportunities.”

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
