German insurance company HanseMerkur has become the official naming partner for the VALORANT Challengers DACH (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) league.

Expanding its previous involvement in VALORANT esports for 2024, the company will assist in the league’s organisation and offer giveaways for its community.

In return, HanseMerkur’s logo will be featured on the event’s social media as well as its live stream. The HanseMerkur Instant Replay segment will also provide additional brand visibility.

Founded in 1969, German insurance company HanseMerkur specialises in the health and tourist insurance sector.

Since 2020, the organisation has supported esports in the DACH region. HanseMerkur was previously involved with the German VALORANT community Agent’s Range and its Kingdom Calling tournament. The insurer also partnered with Challengers DACH’s predecessor, the DACH VALORANT League.

This year, HanseMerkur plans to work with amateur and community league operator Project V to unite the resources of Challengers DACH with those of Project V and its Project Queens competition. Together, the leagues will create content and hold regular joint grand finals.

HanseMerkur Challengers DACH: Evolution League is part of Riot Game’s global VALORANT Challengers ecosystem, which serves as a part of the second-tier for VCT’s international leagues. HanseMerkur Challengers DACH kicks off on February 10th.

DACH’s Challenger circuit is organised by Freaks 4U Gaming together with non-profit organisation Diversity in Esports. The gaming and esports marketing agency was founded in 2011 and focuses on esports content creation and broadcast production.

Last month, Indian esports company NODWIN made an €8m (~£6.84m) investment into Freaks 4U Gaming, acquiring 13.51% of the agency’s shares.

With the 2024 VALORANT competitive season drawing closer, the esport has undergone significant developments. Towards the end of 2023, Riot Games issued a public letter offering insight into its plans for VALORANT 2024, such as team skin bundles.

VALORANT also relaunched its in-game Esports Hub to keep fans updated about teams and upcoming events.

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
