Swedish fan engagement and fantasy esports app E-GO APP (E-GO) has partnered with Calyx.gg, an esports tournament organiser and production company from Saudi Arabia.

The partnership will be focused on the Arabian League, the official League of Legends league in the region, and will allow the fans of the league to create fantasy rosters and compete against other players in a betting-free environment.

Due to the fact that all forms of gambling are illegal under Saudi law, the new platform will not include any form of wagering or similar features. It will, however, offer players the ability to create their own fantasy rosters and compete against other players, according to the two parties. This makes the Arabian League the first esports tournament in the region to have an official fantasy league.

The Arabian League was created in 2023 as the official League of Legends esports league for the Arabian peninsula. The league is currently in its third split, and provides two teams for the EMEA Masters tournament. The partnership with E-GO APP is the first time the Swedish fan engagement and fantasy esports app has partnered with a tournament organiser outside of Europe.

The E-GO APP supports CS2, League of Legends and Dota 2 in other regions, but does not support betting or wagering elements in any region, with the company adopting a strong stand against these. The company received a 3m Swedish Krona (~£228,887) investment in early 2023, and has since partnered with data company GRID to bolster its offerings.

Viktor ‘MrMaggo’ Maisey, CEO E-GO APP, commented: “We are committed to bringing the engagement of esport fantasy to one of the best esport leagues in the region.

“Our promise to the organisers of Arabian League and their viewers is an environment built for active participation and competition, where they can watch the games and stay up-to-date on how the tournament unfolds, exempt from any form of gambling – GL HF and see you in the leaderboards.”

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
