Singapore-based esports marketing agency Redd+E has merged with Southeast Asian (SEA) esports organisation Team Flash.

As part of the announcement, it was also revealed that Team Flash has also acquired Cambodia-based team Burn Gaming. The team will now operate as Team Flash KH.

According to a release, the merger will see Team Flash continue to manage its esports rosters with Redd+E focusing on agency operations. This includes media rights and event management. Moreover, the agency aims to expand into esports education and bolster community outreach efforts.

Yip Ren Kai, Co-founder and Managing Director of Redd+E, will continue to lead the agency. However, Joanne Tan, Conference Director at Redd+E, will now oversee events management and assume a regional marketing role at Team Flash.

Mark Chew, CEO of Team Flash, commented on the merger: “The integration of Redd+E into the Team Flash family is a game-changer for us.

“Having witnessed Redd+E’s resilience and expertise firsthand as the appointed EMC for the first PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2021 in Singapore and amid the COVID-19 lockdown restrictions, we are confident that their extensive network and proficiency will enhance our presence and offerings within the esports ecosystem.”

Founded in 2010, Team Flash is a notable name in Southeast Asia and has competed in various esports titles across the Asian scene. Notably, the organisation has a Vietnamese Arena of Valor roster and competes in Singapore’s Mobile Legends Bang Bange league (MPL), the latter of which is in partnership with Ninjas in Pyjamas. The organisation also competes in PUBG Mobile, VALORANT and League of Legends.

With the acquisition of Burn Gaming, Team Flash KH will manage two Mobile Legends teams, including an all-female MLBB roster. The acquisition of Burn Gaming might not come as a surprise to many considering both entities secured a collaborative partnership in 2022. Team Flash KH has also opened a new office in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. According to the organisation, this is the first official office for a Cambodian esports team.

Headquartered in Singapore, Redd+E is an esports agency that looks to provide esports experiences to Asian fanbases. The agency has previously collaborated with ESI Events for B2B industry conference ESI Singapore.
