National esports body British Esports has partnered with PUBG Mobile Esports, the esports circuit of battle royale title PUBG Mobile.

As a result, the two parties will collaborate to host an esports tournament open to UK-based students aged 16 and above.

The PUBG MOBILE FE College Tournament 2024 takes place from October 8th and ends the week commencing on November 12th. According to a release, ‘up to 16 teams’ will compete with the eventual winners earning a chance to play on-stage at the 2024 PUBG Mobile Global Championship taking place at London’s ExCel Auditorium, from December 6th to December 8th.

Participating teams will compete over 12 maps. After four weeks, the team at the top of the leaderboard will also play in a showmatch featuring a range of content creators and influencers.

The tournament isn’t the first time British Esports has collaborated with Level Infinite, the developer of PUBG Mobile. In February 2024, the national body partnered with the developer to shed light on career opportunities within the esports industry.

The PUBG Mobile esports scene has shown encouraging signs of growth throughout 2024. In September, the esports circuit partnered with UK esports organisation Guild Esports resulting in the latter fielding a roster in four tournaments taking place this year and early 2025.

Tom Dore, Vice President of British Esports, spoke on the news: “We’re thrilled to offer a first-of-its-kind mobile esports tournament for further education colleges, and to continue building our relationship with industry leaders Tencent.

“We look forward to discovering which winning team of students will compete on the biggest stage at the PUBG MOBILE Global Championship in London at the end of the year.”

  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
