PUBG Esports, the esports circuit for battle royale title PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG), has opened applications for the 2025 edition of its global partner team programme.

The initiative gives select organisations that field PUBG rosters an opportunity to provide feedback to the title’s developers as well as gain guaranteed competitive opportunities.

For the 2025 season, organisations interested in applying will be assessed on governance, fandom and the team’s history. PUBG Esports noted that it will look into the financial stability of organisations and their intentions to commit to the esports circuit on a long-term basis. The history criteria will also take into consideration participation in previous PUBG tournaments and the health of players and coaching staff.

Alongside shaping the future of PUBG’s esports ecosystem, teams selected to be part of the programme will receive direct invitations to PUBG Global Series tournaments and a range of exclusive in-game items for fans to purchase.

Applications for the third edition of the programme will close on January 17th, 2025, which will be followed by a review of interested parties. Once further evaluations and interviews have taken place, the global partner teams will be revealed on February 20th.

KRAFTON says the programme will not expand to more than ten teams in 2025. Existing partner teams and potential applicants will undergo evaluation with the aim of ‘fostering a vibrant and competitive environment.’

The 2025 PUBG season is already taking shape. KRAFTON has already confirmed the PUBG Global Series, Nations Cup, and Global Championship will take place throughout the year alongside three other global tournaments.

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
