MOONTON Games has announced it will expand the number of teams competing at the 2025 edition of the Mobile Legends Bang Bang: Women’s Invitational.
Four more teams will have the opportunity to compete, taking the total number to 16.
The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Women’s Invitational is one of several tournaments taking place as part of the Esports World Cup, a multi-title event taking place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The tournament will feature a $500,000 (~£376,598) prize pool, one of the largest in the history of female esports.
In addition to increasing the number of teams at the tournament, event organisers have also increased the number of qualifying regions from 26 to 57, allowing teams from Africa, Mongolia and Turkey to participate.

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and Women’s Esports
Mobile Legends: Bang Bang has consistently led the charge in supporting the growth of women’s esports worldwide.
The inclusion of the Women’s Invitational at the Esports World Cup for a second consecutive year has resulted in several organisations signing all-female rosters. In May, Ukrainian organisation NAVI signed two rosters with the aim of winning the Club Championship.
The 2024 edition of the Women’s Invitational recorded over 250,000 viewers, becoming the fourth most-watched event in women’s esports history.
Outside of the Esports World Cup, MOONTON Games continues to support the growth of an inclusive esports ecosystem. This year, Mobile Legends will feature men’s and women’s events at the 33rd edition of the Southeast Asian Games.
