On-chain game publisher Uprising Labs has unveiled key details about the upcoming utility token, which will debut through a presale event on June 24th, 2025.

In a June 17th announcement on X (formerly Twitter), Uprising disclosed that the utility token will carry the ticker symbol $UPR and feature a total supply of 1bn tokens.

What Uprising $UPR Brings to Web3 Players and Developers

The gaming company has designed the distribution to foster long-term growth and engagement.

37% of the supply is allocated to the community, ensuring broader participation, while 26% is dedicated to a game fund to fuel future development.

The team receives 15% with long-term vesting conditions, aligning their incentives with the project’s growth. 4% of the token’s supply is reserved for early investors who participate in the presale.

Additional tokenomics details are expected to be released in the coming days.

Uprising Labs runs a gaming platform that helps game developers transition their games into the web3 ecosystem by helping integrate decentralised economies, player ownership and blockchain technology.

According to the platform’s statement, the $UPR token aims to “unify the gaming experience across genres by creating a token-powered ecosystem that rewards players, empowers developers, and drives true ownership in the gaming multiverse.”

Industry Hype Builds as Influencers Back Uprising’s Presale Ambitions

The founder of Alpha Empire spoke positively about the team on X and also mentioned interest in the presale, specifically noting the platform’s integration with the Somia Network.

Earlier this year, Uprising Labs partnered with Somia, an NFT and Web3 gaming network, to create a six-month gaming accelerator programme.

The initiative, supported by a $10m (~£7.37m) grant, was designed to advance Web3 gaming by providing developers with mentorship, funding, and resources to strengthen decentralised gaming ecosystems.

Originally, Uprising Labs had intended to develop a Layer-2 network on the Japanese gaming-focused protocol Oasys.

This proposed blockchain, dubbed Uprising L2, was planned to support native yield rewards across multiple blockchain networks, including Solana, Ethereum, and Oasys. However, the gaming lab has since shifted its strategic focus toward establishing itself as a publisher of Web3 games specifically designed for PC and console gaming audiences.
