Sentinels CEO Rob Moore has revealed that the North American esports organisation is interested in expanding into Counter-Strike and League of Legends.
Speaking to Sheep Esports, Moore reveals Sentinels is eyeing an entry into Counter-Strike in either 2026 or 2027 “with true North American ambition.”
For League of Legends, the organisation is considering using the Guest Slot as an opportunity to earn qualification for the League of Legends Championship of the Americas (LTA).
Sentinels expanding into Counter-Strike would provide the North American scene with a much-needed boost following a disappointing showing at the BLAST.tv Austin Major where Team Liquid‘s top-16 placement was the highest for the region.
Founded in 2016, Sentinels has cemented itself as one of the most recognisable VALORANT organisations emanating from North America. In Riot Games’ FPS title, Sentinels has won two international events — VALORANT Masters Madrid 2024 and Masters Reykjavík 2021.
The organisation also fields rosters in Marvel Rivals, Apex Legends and StarCraft II.
Sentinels Focused On Growth
In addition to the potential expansion into new esports titles, 2024 was a year of growth for the organisation. According to the Sheep Esports report, the organisation saw sales almost double in 2024, from $2.9m (~£2.1m) to $5.7m (~£4.1m). Partnerships with Razer and Red Bull played a factor in generating revenue.
“During five years, nobody told us to build a sustainable business,” Moore told Sheep Esports. “Today, it has become our priority. And so much the better.”
Throughout 2025, sustainability within the esports industry has become a focus for many stakeholders looking to secure their long-term future. With Sentinels’ continued growth and expansion plans underway, the organisation is set to continue its upward trajectory.
