After six years, Team Spirit has benched Boris ‘magixx’ Vorobyev ahead of IEM Cologne 2025, bringing a successful tenure with the organisation to an end.

The team has replaced magixx with Ivan ‘zweih’ Gogin from Nemiga Gaming. The 17-year-old recently competed for Nemiga at this year’s BLAST.tv Austin Major and made it from Stage 1 to Stage 3 of the event.

magixx was Team Spirit’s longest-serving player after its IGL Leonid ‘chopper’ Vishnyakov and played a crucial role in establishing the team’s worldwide dominance in the scene.

“We are truly grateful to Boris for all those six years he has spent in Team Spirit. He`s been with us during several crucial stages of the roster formation and hugely affected the very shaping of our unique philosophy,” the official announcement stated.

Magixx’s Successful Tenure

The player has multiple titles under his belt, with 2024 being his most successful year as the team won Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024, BLAST Premier: Spring Final 2024, BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024 #2, and IEM Katowice 2024. Recently, Team Spirit also won PGL Astana 2025 by defeating Astralis.

However, Team Spirit was unable to make an impact during this year’s BLAST.tv Austin Major, ultimately losing in the quarterfinals to MOUZ.

The team added: “We’ll never forget the enormous contribution magixx has made to Team Spirit milestone achievements, playing an impressive number of 1050 maps in total. We wish Boris success in his further esports career. We will keep track of his brilliant achievements and celebrate his victories.”

The 22-year-old rifler hasn’t commented on his next move yet; however, based on the announcement, it’s almost clear that both parties have officially parted ways with each other.

We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
