GamerLegion and Astralis are the latest teams eliminated from Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) Cologne 2025. The two European sides could not advance to the next round of the Group Stage.

Some exciting matches will take place on Monday, July 28th after the results of this weekend’s intense face-offs.

GamerLegion Bows Out

After impressing during the Play-Ins with victories over Complexity and Virtus.pro, GamerLegion found itself in the lower bracket of Group A after a defeat at the hands of Team Falcons

Joining it in the lower bracket was 3DMAX, which lost to The MongolZ in its opening Group A match. GamerLegion secured victory on Overpass before 3DMAX responded on Inferno to force a deciding Dust II in the best-of-three series. The French side of 3DMAX emerged victorious after a triple overtime to keep hopes of competing in the Lanxess Arena alive.

FURIA Stays Alive

The second elimination match saw Astralis battle against FURIA in the second elimination match of Group B.

After recently securing a place in the top ten of the Valve Regional Standings (VRS), the Brazilian side dominated Inferno to open the series before keeping the ball rolling with another victory on Dust II to send the Danes out of the tournament.

The road to the Playoffs goes up a notch for the Brazilians. Defeating Astralis sets up a clash against Team Falcons, with the winner securing a place in the lower bracket final.
