The top eight teams advancing to the VALORANT Champions 2025 Playoffs have been confirmed after an intense Group Stage.
In the end, EMEA and the Americas are tied with three teams each, while the Pacific region will have two representatives. As for China, no team managed to secure a place in the top eight, including 2024 Champions winners EDward Gaming.
VALORANT Champions Paris Playoffs Teams
From September 25th to October 6th, the remaining squads will battle in double-elimination brackets to lift the VALORANT’s most important trophy and claim a share of the $2.25m (~£1.66m) prize pool.
Here’s a look at all the teams that have qualifed:
Paper Rex
Paper Rex entered the tournament as Masters Toronto and VCT Pacific Stage 2 winners, meaning the organisation is looking to lift its third VCT trophy of the year. The team has been off to a wonderful start, winning back-to-back series against XLG and GIANTX to advance to the Champions 2025 Playoffs.
GIANTX
The EMEA representative was pushed to the lower bracket in the Group Stage by PRX; however, it bounced back against XLG to qualify for the Playoffs. XLG, on the other hand, has at least extended its stay in VCT China for another year despite getting eliminated from the event.
Fnatic
Fnatic continues to be a force to be reckoned with on the international stage as it secured a clean win against RRQ in the opening match. While the organisation suffered a tough loss in the first map against MIBR, a reverse sweep took the team one step closer to its first Champions trophy.
MIBR
Fans didn’t have high expectations from MIBR following an underwhelming 2025 VCT season. However, the team has since shocked everyone with its performances. Andrew ‘Verno’ Maust taking over the IGL role, as confirmed by head coach Daniel ‘fRoD’ Montaner, has done wonders for the roster, helping it secure a place in the top eight. The team ultimately toppled BLG and RRQ to advance to the next stage.
NRG
NRG had to begin its campaign against the 2024 Champions winners, EDward Gaming, which was a tough challenge for the team. After overcoming the Chinese giants, DRX awaited VCT Americas’ representative. Nevertheless, the young squad pulled off incredible comebacks in both series to secure the first seed from its group.
DRX
A collapse against NRG forced DRX to go into a do-or-die match with Team Liquid, but it turned out to be a piece of cake for the Korean side. It clean-swept the VCT Stage 2 EMEA champions to confirm its spot in the Playoffs.
Team Heretics
After losing to EDward Gaming at Champions 2024 and finishing second again in VCT EMEA Stage 1, Team Heretics seemed to have lost its identity. The organisation exited early at Masters Toronto but went on to lift its first-ever VALORANT trophy at the Esports World Cup.
That said, the team was still struggling to find its form in the VCT as it got eliminated early in the Stage 2 Playoffs. However, that is no longer the case, as Team Heretics sent the Americas Kickoff, Stage 1, and Stage 2 winners, G2 Esports, to the lower bracket, while also clean-sweeping Masters Bangkok champions T1 to qualify for the Champions Paris Playoffs.
G2 Esports
It was a shock to see G2 Esports not winning a single map against Team Heretics; however, the team established a perfect record in the lower bracket. It eliminated Dragon Rangers Gaming by 2-0 and then took revenge on T1 to join the rest in the Playoffs.
