Harbor is receiving the much-anticipated rework with VALORANT patch 11.10, releasing on November 11th.

Riot Games has revamped his existing abilities and introduced new ones to make the agent a more viable Controller in the current roster.

Starting with Harbor’s High Tide, its functionality remains unchanged; however, it will no longer be a signature ability and will instead have to be purchased.

Storm Surge will replace his Cascade, and players can use the fire button to throw it. The ability creates an explosive whirlpool that nearsights and blinds enemies after a short duration.

Moving on to Cove, players will now be able to place it similarly to Omen’s smokes, and unlike before, the shield can be activated separately.

Harbor’s ultimate, Reckoning, has also been revamped. Instead of forming a circle, it will now move forward like his Cascade and will nearsight and slow enemies.

Community’s Reaction to Harbor Rework

The changes made to Harbor’s abilities have been widely welcomed by the community, as they make him a more aggressive Agent.

“Very interesting and great rework, tho I will miss his old ult. But two abilities that nearsights enemies give him the opportunity to play more aggressive and be valuable in many comps and situations. Exciting to see him in officials,” said former 100 Thieves coach, Yury ‘frenya’ Elkin.

“Good things: Great stun, global smoke, wide area ult with strong debuff, Bad things: Tm8s still get slowed by wall, only one global smoke, ult doesn’t give info like old one,” a user shared on X (Twitter).

It seems that Harbor and Viper compositions could make a return, and the agent’s pick rate is expected to improve in competitive VALORANT. However, with so many balance changes released with patch 11.08, it will be interesting to see what professional teams cook with Harbor.
