Global esports organisation Fnatic has today announced an exclusive streaming partnership with Twitch. The two will ‘join forces to develop new forms of creative live content that can be delivered to fans in a new and innovative way’.

The deal will see each and every one of Fnatic’s roster of professional players, spanning multiple esports titles, stream live exclusively on Twitch.

Although the announcement has only just occurred, the first streamed event as part of the new collaboration took place back in Berlin with “Legends in Action Live” which took place in Berlin. Fnatic used the stream to reveal its jersey for 2019 and there were also exclusive Q&A sessions with players ahead of the start of the new League of Legends LEC season.

Wouter Sleijffers, CEO of Fnatic commented: “Undeniably, Twitch remains the best platform for fans and players when it comes to gameplay, and it is where most of our fans are engaging with this content already. What makes this partnership special is that we believe Fnatic and Twitch share the vision of bringing esports into every household through new forms of content that deliver an incredible viewing experience,”

He continued: “Partnering with Twitch offers us an exciting opportunity to continue exploring new content formats such as Legends in Action Live, as well as enabling our fans to experience more of what we have to offer. This is the start of a new and exciting partnership for our fans and streamers alike”.

The next activation of the new partnership will see JW and KRiMZ from the CS:GO roster stream from 19:00 CET with an exclusive announcement and prize drops. The stream will take place on JW’s Twitch channel.

“We’re super excited to partner with Twitch and leverage on the great innovations Twitch have been adding over the years to make the experience between players and their audience even more engaging. This is a great opportunity for us and our fans to connect and interact on new levels. We can’t wait to bring out new ideas and experiment with the platform to create future entertainment experiences,” added Benoit Pagotto, Fnatic’s Brand Director.

Petya Zheleva, Esports Partnerships Manager, EMEA, Twitch concluded: “Fnatic are a legendary esports team with a strong following among the Twitch community, making this exclusive partnership a great fit for our service. As the premier destination for esports with a focus on both the streamer and spectator experience, we plan to work closely with Fnatic to foster even more engagement around their exciting content.”

Esports Insider says: Not the first, nor the last partnership between Twitch and a professional esports organisation, with TSM and Cloud9 immediately springing to mind. Fnatic are known for top quality content so we’re eager to see how this partnership unfolds & what Benoit and co. still have left up their sleeves. Congratulations to both parties.

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
