Korean esports organisation Hanjin BRION has announced the signing of former Cloud9 mid laner Lee ‘Loki‘ Sang-min for the LCK season.
Announced on the team’s social media channels, Loki has signed a two-year contract until the end of 2027, according to the Global Contract Database. The player is expected to contest for a starting position alongside Jo ‘Roamer’ Woo-jin, who has recorded inconsistent performances during the 2026 LCK Cup.
Loki Returns to After a Brief Break
The 20-year-old began his professional career as a trainee on HLE’s academy team in 2022, before quickly rising through the ranks to earn a starting position on its Challengers (second division) team. Coincidentally, both Roamer and Loki were sharing the mid lane spot between the summer of 2022 and 2023, before the former joined the Team Liquid Challengers team in North America (NA).
Loki ended up moving to NA one year later, joining Cloud9 on a three-year contract. Despite having strong individual performances, Loki wasn’t able to lead C9 to success, failing to qualify for that year’s League of Legends World Championship.
At the end of the season, the player made the decision to part ways with the team, citing personal reasons and his desire to remain in Seoul with his family.
Having found a new destination in the LCK, Loki will finally get his tier-one debut in South Korea via the league’s 2026 Regular Season, which is set to kick off sometime in April.
While the move likely won’t make BRION a top-tier team, Loki’s presence and experience should be able bring more firepower to the team, which has been mainly relying on ADC player Park ‘Teddy’ Jin-seong. In the LCK Cup, the team finished at the bottom of its group standings, failing to win all of its best-of-series played. The team was only saved from finishing in last place thanks to the LCK Cup group format.
