Swedish organisation GODSENT has expanded its partnership with Philips heading into 2020.

The year-long deal will see Philips OneBlade serve as the organisation’s “platinum sponsor” and follows an initial deal that was struck in late 2019.

Henrik Denebrandt, CEO of GODSENT discussed the expanding deal in a release: “We are really happy that Philips OneBlade were so eager to keep working with our brand and teams going into 2020. Almost the entire CS:GO roster were already using OneBlade before the partnership, so it is really easy for us to promote these products since we already appreciate them. This partnership enables us to keep investing into our continuous growth in esports and furthermore help us enabling our players to look and feel great in order to play great.”

As part of the partnership, GODSENT will promote Philips and the idea that self-care and appearance affects overall performance in life and gaming in the first long-term esports sponsorship for Philips Nordic.

Erica Eliasson, Nordic Marketing Manager at Philips OneBlade also stated: “Philips OneBlade is proud to team up with GODSENT. These athletes are performing on an international level and have a strong heritage in their Nordic home turf. What Philips OneBlade will bring is that extra flavor of self-confidence. When you feel at your best you can also stay focused and go that extra mile.”

Since the organisation’s revival last year after disbanding in 2018, GODSENT has secured The Final Tribe’s Dota 2 team following a merger, a partnership with fashion brand Björn Borg, and sponsorship from esports technology and data platform GRID.

Esports Insider says: Seeing Philips expand its involvement with GODSENT is a good sign, not only for the recently-revived organisation but for esports as a marketing medium on a wider level. We’re interested in seeing how the partnership is activated over the course of 2020.
