Mercedes-Benz continues sponsorship of ESL Premiership

ESL UK has announced that German automotive giant Mercedes-Benz has renewed its sponsorship of the ESL Premiership.

The deal specifically covers the competition’s Dota 2 efforts for its upcoming season, with Mercedes-Benz serving as the official automotive supplier.

When ESL UK added Dota 2 to the competition in September 2019, it also welcomed Mercedes-Benz as a sponsor. The automotive brand had already established a working relationship with ESL, activating at Dota 2 tournament ESL One Birmingham for two consecutive years.

ESL Premiership was confirmed to be returning for the Autumn 2020 season on August 27th, with Razer in tow as a new sponsor. The competition will continue to provide opportunities for up-and-coming players across the United Kingdom and Ireland in Valve titles Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Dota 2.

Since announcing the competition’s return, ESL UK has unveiled online bookmaker Puntt and wager-based competitive platform Stakester as partners for the upcoming season. Intel and AOC Gaming have also continued their sponsorship of the Premiership alongside Mercedes-Benz.

Esports Insider says: It’s great to see the UK retain support from major and promising brands alike, especially in the midst of a pandemic that’s rendered offline-play almost impossible.
