The collaboration will coincide with the release of Fortnite’s ‘Kickoff Set’ cosmetic bundle, which contains the kits of 23 football clubs including Manchester City, Wolves, Juventus and many more. The tournament will see a total of 100 players compete, with each competitor receiving early access to the Manchester City’s in-game skin.

Lee Trink, CEO at FaZe Clan, spoke on the collaboration in a release: “The FaZe City Cup featuring Fortnite is an important illustration of our groundbreaking partnership with Manchester City. The FaZe City Cup is one of the many collaborations that have taken place between Manchester City and FaZe since striking a partnership in September 2019. Previous activities include releasing a range of merchandise, hosting events in Manchester and Los Angeles, and producing a range of collaborative content.

Nuria Tarre, Chief Marketing Officer at City Football Group, also commented: “The FaZe City Cup featuring Fortnite is an exciting first for the club in one of the most popular gaming titles globally and we hope fans worldwide will get involved in the competition and wear their Manchester City outfits in-game with pride.

“Given their significant existing presence within Fortnite, we are delighted to partner with FaZe Clan on this competition. It is further testament to our partnership with FaZe Clan, through which we will continue to explore opportunities to bring our fans new and immersive ways to engage with the blub.”

Esports Insider says: The partnership continues to strengthen what is already turning out to be a successful partnership between Manchester City and FaZe Clan. By using FaZe Clan’s experience in Fortnite, Manchester City will continue to boost its presence in the esports ecosystem, meanwhile, the esports organisation will also be front and centre of the activation.

We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
