Players representing TMG will be recruited through a Combine event. The event sees gamers have the opportunity to showcase physical and mental skills before finding out whether they have been selected.

Doug Scott, Co-Founder and Chief Managing Director of Subnation Media, spoke on the project in a release: “Throughout his NFL career, MVS has shown his passion and commitment to excellence on and off the field, and we are excited to help extend his talent into the world of esports.

“Together, we are going to build a premium lifestyle brand for the gaming community that provides both digital and physical entertainment experiences.”

Subnation is no stranger to the esports industry. The company recently acquired an equity interest in North American esports organisation XTRA Gaming alongside delivering activations for the likes of Amazon Games and German automotive marque Volkswagen.

Valdes-Scantling, Co-Founder of TMG, also commented on the news: “Both traditional sports and esports play an important part in my life. And as these worlds continue to converge, I’m excited to partner with Subnation to build a competitive esports team that can deliver high-powered experiences for the entire community.”

Esports Insider says: Sporting personalities entering esports is nothing new but organising a combine to cultivate talent is certainly an interesting concept. Utilising the services of Subnation is a smart move from Marquez Valdes-Scantling as he looks to enter what is a highly competitive market.

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
