In addition to supplying equipment to MGG’s players and content creators, HyperX will play a role in Florida Mutineers’ social media strategies and team content. Moreover, the brand’s logo will feature on the franchise’s player jerseys.

Justin Stefanovic, Senior Vice President of Partnerships at MGG, spoke on the deal: “HyperX is a leading brand in gaming peripherals, and we’re excited to partner with them across multiple teams at MGG. We’re also looking forward to working with them to amplify our initiatives that help women and non-binary groups in esports and gaming.”

According to the release, the peripherals brand will be a ‘key partner’ in supporting MGG’s diversity and inclusion initiatives. This includes its Women of MGG project and unannounced activations set to take place in 2022.

HyperX becomes the seventh partner of the Florida Mutineers, joining the likes of gaming hardware company ASUS ROG, personal finance company SoFi and restaurant chain Zaxby’s.

Stephanie Winkler, Director of Marketing at HyperX, added: “We’re excited to support pro teams and streamers at Misfits Gaming Group, as well as highlighting initiatives for women in esports and gaming. We strive to give every gamer, regardless of gender, religion, and/or background the opportunity to perform at their finest; with the best gaming peripherals on the market.”

Esports Insider says: HyperX is no stranger to securing deals with organisations. The addition of MGG and the Florida Mutineers to its extensive portfolio is a solid move as the brand bolsters its awareness in Call of Duty esports. For MGG, the deal will support its influencers and diversity projects for the near future.
