Every CS2 team that has won a Tier 1 event in 2026

The 2026 Tier 1 Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) tournament circuit is in full swing, with the world’s best esports teams and players showcasing their skills on the biggest stages. 

Several high-profile organisers host Tier 1 CS2 tournaments, which can take place across sold-out arenas worldwide. In addition to huge venues hosting the biggest events, Tier 1 tournaments often attract the world’s largest organisations competing for massive prize pools and Valve Regional Standings (VRS) points that determine event invites and the 32 teams competing at a Valve-sanctioned Major. 

Esports Insider takes a closer look at the teams that have won a Tier 1 tournament so far in 2026, whilst also painting a picture of how the victor was crowned.

Following a strong showing at the StarLadder Budapest Major in late 2025, Parivision looked to cement its place among the world’s best rosters at BLAST Bounty Season 1.

After breezing past ENCE and Astralis during the online qualifiers, the all-Russian roster continued its hot start in the LAN finals. 

Ivan ‘zweih’ Gogin faced off against his former team, Team Spirit, in the quarter-finals, successfully defeating the BLAST Bounty Season 1 2025 champions 2-1 to advance to the semi-finals. The momentum continued in the semi-finals, sweeping aside FURIA to secure its first Tier 1 Grand Final appearance. 

Dzhami ‘Jame’ Ali excelled with the AWP in hand, with several clutches proving crucial to overcome Team Falcons with a 3-0 sweep to earn Parivision its first Tier 1 trophy in the organisation’s history. 

Team Vitality ended 2025 as the world’s best CS2 team, winning nine Tier 1 tournaments, including both the Austin and Budapest Majors. Despite an early elimination from BLAST Bounty Season 1 2026, the French esports organisation hoped to bounce back by adding another trophy to its extensive collection. 

The dominant international roster swept through the IEM Krakow 2026 Group Stage without conceding a map, defeating BC.Game, 3DMAX, and Aurora Gaming to secure another playoff appearance. The team’s flawless performance continued in the semi-finals, with superior defensive strategy playing a pivotal role in a 2-0 sweep of MOUZ to book Team Vitality’s place in the Grand Final.

FURIA struck first in the IEM Krakow Grand Final, handing Team Vitality its first map loss of the tournament. However, Team Vitality answered back with two map victories to close in on another Tier 1 trophy.

A huge defensive effort from Mathieu ‘ZywOo’ Herbaut ultimately sealed the deal, with Team Vitality winning 3-1 to secure $400,000 (~£296,380) in prize money.    

With Team Vitality continuing to cement its legacy thanks to an impressive run of dominance, the CS2 esports roadtrip headed to Romania for PGL’s first Tier 1 tournament of the year. With BLAST Bountry victor Parivision and the IEM Krakow champion in attendance, PGL Cluj-Napoca 2026 was set to be another exciting tournament. 

Team Vitality began its PGL Cluj-Napoca 2026 campaign on the front foot, qualifying for the playoffs with victories over G2 Esports, The MongolZ, and MOUZ. Team Falcons also advanced without defeat, as the Saudi Arabian organisation aimed to start converting strong performances so far in 2026 into trophies. 

Team Falcons fell in the quarter-finals at the hands of Parivision, cementing the Russian side’s place as one of Counter-Strike’s top teams. Team Vitality made light work of Aurora Gaming in its quarter-final clash, scoring a convincing 2-0 sweep before sending The MongolZ packing with another 2-0 victory for its second Grand Final appearance in a row. 

Joining Team Vitality in the PGL Cluj-Napoca 2026 Grand Final would be Parivision. At the event, Jame continued to excel with the AWP in the team’s 2-0 victory over MOUZ to secure its second Grand Final.

Team Vitality opened the best-of-five with a hard-fought 13-10 win on Overpass before cruising to a dominant 13-4 win on Dust II to move within one map of yet another victory. Inferno was packed full of memorable moments, starting with Jame’s sneaky ninja defuse in round five before ZywOo’s lightning-fast reactions in round 19 halted any kind of Parivision momentum.

A late clutch from Vladislav ‘xiELO’ Lysov managed to force overtime, but it wasn’t enough to stop Team Vitality from lifting another Tier 1 trophy as its reign of dominance continues.
