Is K-Pop Demon Hunters the next big Fortnite collab?

The Netflix and Sony Pictures Animation film K-Pop Demon Hunters took the world by storm when it was released back in June 2025. The film quickly skyrocketed to the top of the Netflix charts and has barely budged since. 

Not only is it now the most-watched Netflix movie of all time, but the soundtrack to the film gained worldwide critical and commercial acclaim. It was the highest debuting album of 2025 in the US and the track “Golden” topped the charts across the world, surpassing records set by established K-pop artists such as BTS and Blackpink. 

Because of this enormous popularity, it’s no surprise that a collaboration between the K-Pop Demon Hunters franchise and Fortnite is rumoured to be in the works. We’re going to be looking at the rumours surrounding this potential collab and what it could entail if it turns out to be true. 

At the time of writing (September 23, 2025), there is no official confirmation of a K-Pop Demon Hunters collaboration with Fortnite. The rumours began with posts on X by two Fortnite leaker accounts.

These accounts took to the social media platform to tease a crossover, stating that they could confirm the collaboration from “a reliable source.” 

Of course, this is all just speculation and rumours for the time being, but a collab between one of the biggest animated films in the world right now and one of the biggest video games in the world right now seems like a no-brainer. 

There are all sorts of possibilities when it comes to a collab between K-Pop Demon Hunters and Fortnite, so let’s speculate as to what could be included. 

Skins have become a staple of the cosmetic side of Fortnite, and there are all sorts of skins that could be included in the game when it comes to a collab with K-Pop Demon Hunters. Skins of the three main characters – Rumi, Mira and Zoey – would be a must, but since they don different outfits in the film, there are plenty of alternate style opportunities. 

Some alternate styles could be the girls’ demon hunter black leather outfits or their comfortable lounge clothes along with their idol stage outfits. These skins could also be reactive and switch between these styles at certain times. A Rumi skin with a demon transformation could work particularly well as a reactive skin. Each of the girls dons a special tasselled charm on their idol outfits called a “norigae”, and these could also make for cute additions to their skins or cosmetics.

The Saja Boys – the demon boy band from the movie – could also make for great Fortnite skins. There are five members of the band – Jinu, Abby, Romance, Baby and Mystery – and each one could get their own skin. The boy band also have their demon forms, which could be alternate forms or reactive changes to their regular skins. 

Music is a major part of the K-Pop Demon Hunters film, so a collaboration would surely include the soundtrack. The music could be brought to Fortnite via music packs, but it could also be included with emotes. Some of the songs from the film that would make for great additions to Fortnite include the following:

As well as music packs, there could also be emotes that correspond with the choreography to the various songs from the film. As the main characters are K-Pop idols, most of the songs have dances that go with them, and these could easily be incorporated into the game via dance emotes that could also include the song. How It’s Done and Soda Pop lend themselves particularly well to Fortnite dance emotes due to their lively and fun choreography. 

There are also plenty of other opportunities for cosmetics alongside skins when it comes to a possible K-Pop Demon Hunters collab with Fortnite. New weapons could be particularly fun, as they could be themed around the weapons that the demon hunters wield.

In the films, Rumi wields a geom (a sword with a straight blade), Mira has a gok-do (a glaive-like polearm), and Zoey has shin kal (kunai-like spirit knives). Each of these weapons could appear as limited-time in-game weapons or pickaxe skins. Different coloured microphones, musical instruments, or the Huntr/X or Saja Boys light sticks could also be a possibility for pickaxe skins. The aforementioned norigae could also be incorporated as a more charm. 

The Huntr/X members and the Saja Boys aren’t the only characters who could be included in Fortnite though. The popular tiger and magpie from the film – Derpy and Sussie – could become back bling cosmetics or glider cosmetics.

Not only are there plenty of possibilities for cosmetics and music, but a K-Pop Demon Hunters collab with Fortnite could also include new game modes or maps. Some options include a PvE event where players take on the role of the hunters and fight demons, or a PvP mode where players are either hunters or demons and have to fight one another, with the winners either sealing or opening the honmoon (the mythic barrier in the film that uses the power of music to seal away demons). A concert venue POI could also be possible, seeing as Rumi, Mira and Zoey are idols who are seen performing in a stadium several times in the film. 

The music from the film could also become part of limited-time in-game events, such as an in-game concert or an event within Fortnite Festival. Both Huntr/X and the Saja Boys could also become the stars of the Fortnite Music Pass, offering cosmetics along with music for players to unlock once they purchase the pass.

While there is no official information regarding a K-Pop Demon Hunters collaboration with Fortnite right now, it seems highly likely due to the popularity of the film and the huge potential for a crossover.
