Evil Geniuses reveals ‘final phase’ of rebrand and LG UltraGear deal

North American organisation Evil Geniuses unveiled what it calls the “final phase” of its rebrand, including a new logo that more closely resembles the original.

Evil Geniuses, which was founded in 1999, unveiled a rebrand in December of 2019 that dramatically changed the logo and jersey designs from an “EG” monogram to text. The new Evil Geniuses logo, which is a modified version of the original, is based on community feedback while paying homage to the organisation’s history.

Astralis Group enters three-year deal with humme

Danish organisation Astralis Group established a “comprehensive” three-year sponsorship agreement with Danish sportswear brand hummel.

The deal initially includes Future FC and Origen, with Astralis‘ involvement coming once its deal with Jack & Jones ends in mid-September; hummel will supply each of Astralis Group’s teams with “game- and sports-wear” as the overarching clothing partner.

FaZe Clan, NRG, Pittsburgh Knights show interest in joining LCK

North American organisations FaZe Clan, NRG Esports, and Pittsburgh Knights reportedly showed interest in joining the new-look LCK.

They each submitted a letter of intent to apply for long-term partnerships in Riot Games’ Korean League of Legends competition. In addition to FaZe Clan, NRG Esports, and Pittsburgh Knights, it’s reported that Treasure Hunter and World Game Star have also declared interest.

Vodafone Giants raises €3 million in funding round

Spanish organisation Vodafone Giants closed its latest round of funding, raising €3 million (£2.7 million).

The investment comes solely from Sánchez Cózar Group, founded by José Antonio Sánchez Cózar. The organisation will use the funds to build its headquarters in its place of origin, Malaga, as well as to continue expanding internationally and “develop new products.”
