Florida-based esports organisation Misfits Gaming Group has announced memory solutions manufacturer KIOXIA Europe GmbH as the latest sponsor of its League of Legends teams.
According to the release, the partnership will see Misfits Gaming’s League of Legends teams in Berlin be equipped with KIOXIA’s EXCERIA SSDs. Moreover, the entities will collaborate on content ‘that resonates with esports audiences’.

KIOXIA and Misfits Gaming’s collaboration is expected to provide the memory manufacturer with additional esports data and insights into the performance needs of professional players. The sponsorship deal will apply to Misfits Gaming’s League of Legends European Championship (LEC) and Ligue Française de League of Legends (LFL) teams.

Misfits Gaming Group has secured a multitude of partnerships already in 2021, with the likes of gaming furniture manufacturer RESPAWN Products, British headwear brand Tokyo Time, and gaming hardware company ASUS ROG all joining the organisation’s commercial portfolio.

Esports Insider says: Partnerships between technology manufacturers and esports organisations have always gone hand-in-hand. As such, it’s no surprise to see KIOXIA secure a deal with Misfits Gaming Group. The deal only includes Misfits’ League of Legends division and so it’ll be interesting to see if the partnership expands into other titles in the future.
