Singaporean gaming and esports startup EMERGE Esports has partnered with Indonesian esports organisation BOOM Esports and Malaysian gaming brand Todak Gaming.
As a result, EMERGE Esports will look to provide brand endorsements for both entities’ competitive esports rosters.
Launched in 2020, EMERGE Esports aims to develop esports in Singapore and the surrounding region. In 2021, the startup secured deals with the likes of TikTok, social media platform Twitter, and Singaporean media network Mediacorp. The partnership sees the company expand its services into Indonesia and Malaysia.
According to the release, EMERGE Esports will look to expand its advertising inventory beyond ‘traditional methods’ to manage ‘new growth opportunities’ for the teams. In particular, EMERGE highlighted The International 2022 as well as other titles such as VALORANT and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.
Gary Ongko Putera, CEO of BOOM Esports, spoke on the deal: “EMERGE has great connections and has proved their dominance across Southeast Asia. We were looking for a formidable agency to represent us within the region, and we’re very excited for BOOM Esports to partner with EMERGE. We firmly believe that together we can take the next step and establish ourselves as one of the best esports organisations in Southeast Asia.”
EMERGE Esports has an extensive network of cryptocurrency and blockchain companies. The startup has collaborated with the likes of Bybit, play to earn game Dreams Quest and Indonesian cryptocurrency exchange Tokocrypto.
Alongside its Dota 2 teams, BOOM Esports and Todak Gaming field rosters in PUBG Mobile, VALORANT, and League of Legends Wild Rift. In 2019, Todak Gaming finished second at the Mobile Legends World Championship.
Esports Insider says: EMERGE Esports partnering with BOOM Esports and Todak Gaming will benefit all parties involved. The startup expands its portfolio while both organisations receive opportunities to enter new partnerships with a variety of brands.
