INZONE, the new gaming gear brand of multinational technology company Sony, has partnered with Riot Games‘ VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT).
The multi-year deal will see the brand become the official headset partner of the VCT, starting with the Stage 2 Masters tournament taking place from July 10th-24th in Copenhagen, Denmark.
As the official headset partner of the VCT, Sony will provide its INZONE headsets for all VCT events. Additionally, the brand will collaborate with Riot Games to create a new broadcast segment known as “Open Mic.” The segment aims to highlight the importance of communication during matches.
The Stage 2 Masters will see 12 teams compete to earn VCT Points and a place at the season-ending VCT Champions event taking place in Istanbul at the beginning of September.
Sony INZONE becomes the fourth partner secured by Riot Games for the 2022 VCT season, joining the likes of FPS performance and training platform Aim Lab on its expanding partnership roster.
This isn’t the first deal for Sony’s new gaming brand, which had its global launch in late June. In addition to the VCT, it has become a premier sponsor of the Evolution Championship Series (EVO) fighting game tournament for 2022 and 2023.
