GIRLGAMER Esports Festival, an esports event focused on celebrating women, has announced the location for its 2023 World Finals.

The Kingdom of Bahrain will host the 2023 edition of the event, which is scheduled to take place from March 14th-18th.

Exact details surrounding the location for the 2023 World Finals haven’t been revealed. In an announcement made on February 6th, the festival says more information will be announced soon.

Highlighting female esports, GIRLGAMER Esports Festival features tournaments in CS:GO and League of Legends. The events often feature notable esports organisations that have female divisions, including G2 Esports, Brazilian organisation Rise Gaming and Nigma Galaxy.

The 2023 World Finals is the ninth GIRLGAMER event to take place since launching in 2017. The 2022 World Finals took place in Dubai where teams competed in League of Legends and CS:GO for a chance to be crowned champion.

Bahrain continues to attract large-scale esports events to the Kingdom. In 2019, BLAST Premier hosted its Global Finals and in 2018, ReKTGlobal joined forces with the Bahrain Royal Family’s Overpowered Network in a deal to grow esports in the Middle East.

The esports festival has six partners in its portfolio, which includes Dubai-based organisation Galaxy Racer and Brazilian esports production company Bad Boy Leeroy (BBL).
