Brazilian esports organisation FURIA has unveiled its new visual identity and ethos.

The organisation’s logo now features a black and gold design alongside a motto aiming to promote inclusion within the esports industry.

In addition to the new logo and ethos, FURIA has also released a new esports jersey to cement its commitment to combatting racism through its ‘Future is Black’ motto. In addition to the motto, FURIA aims to take ‘proactive measures’ to create increased inclusion in areas of the industry where representation has been insufficient.

To create the new logo, FURIA joined forces with artists Jesus Credo and Izzy Credo, with the process detailed through a video directed by producer Fernanda Souza.

FURIA is no stranger to creating an inclusive environment for its players and staff. In April 2023, the organisation bolstered its backroom staff by hiring Patricia Lima as its Diversity and Inclusion Specialist.

Prior to the change of visual identity, FURIA has continued to consolidate its position as one of the most recognisable esports organisations in South America. In September 2023, it partnered with analytics company Shikenso Analytics to monitor the performance of its existing sponsorships.

Cynthia Oliveira, Marketing Manager at FURIA, spoke on the news: “Working on a concept like Future is Black envisions a future of power that can only stem from occupying spaces in the present.

“The hands that will write these stories, their narratives, creations, and unfolding, are collective, in a space of Afrocentric and plural co-creation, seeking inclusion and equity in esports.”
