Lima, former Leader of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at PLURIE PR, will help ensure FURIA provides a welcoming environment to everyone involved with the organisation.

As Head of Talent, Thales aims to create a range of ‘transformative projects’ to bring FURIA closer to its fans and partners. Projects will include unifying various pillars that include entertainment, lifestyle and competitiveness.

2023 continues to be a year of expansion for FURIA. In April, the organisation unveiled its Casa FURIA event, in partnership with payment platform Pay4Fun. In addition, FURIA made its first foray into sim racing as part of ESL R1 and through a collaboration with sim racing company VRS.

Outside of esports, the organisation launched the FURIA Skate Club, an initiative designed to engage with communities through skateboarding. In January, FURIA named Victor Frascarelli as its Global PR Executive Lead.

André Akkari, Co-founder of FURIA, spoke on the hires: “We are very happy to welcome Patrícia and Thales to the team. FURIA is more than an esports organization; it is a sociocultural movement that seeks to transform and positively impact the spaces it occupies.

“With the addition of these professionals, we are taking another important step towards this great goal.”
