Gaming peripherals manufacturer KREO has teamed up with VALORANT player Ganesh ‘SkRossi’ Gangadhar to become the company’s first ‘KREO Athlete’.

The collaboration with the SkRossi — currently playing for Indian esports organisation Revenant Esports — will see him use KREO products, take part in KREO activations, and have a hand in the development of new products geared towards PC players.

Previously competing in Counter-Strike, SkRossi is one of India’s most notable VALORANT players and represented Global Esports in last year’s VCT Pacific. Though predominantly a region of mobile gamers, KREO hopes that SkRossi becoming a figure for the brand will be a ‘significant milestone in the Indian esports industry’ as one of a select few PC players in the country to have secured such a partnership.

In a release, Rohit Jagasia, Founder and CEO of Revenant Esports, explained how his organisation played a part in enabling the partnership between KREO and SkRossi. Jagasia expressed that Revenant is “immensely proud to have facilitated this collaboration” which “underscores Revenant’s commitment to not only signing star athletes but also leveraging all available resources to ensure their optimal growth.”

This latest collaboration continues a flurry of new sponsorships for Revenant. Last month the organisation announced a deal with hardware brand AMD to be its title sponsor for 2024. In December they also secured a partnership with monitor and display company ViewSonic which would see the manufacturer provide monitors for Revenant players.

On the announcement, Ishan Sukul, CEO of KREO, commented: “We recognised Rossi’s talent even before we started Kreo. India needs more trailblazers in the gaming, esports sectors, individuals who become larger than life and inspire the next 10m pros.

“After just one chat with him, we could see he’s destined to do larger things, not just for VALORANT, but for the entire esports sector in India. Our partnership with him is not quite simple, it’s a symbiotic relationship which we’ll both nurture to launch quality gear that brings in the next pros to the arena.”
