UK-based gaming and esports cafe chain SideQuest has announced a slate of events to celebrate its second anniversary.

The agenda includes four events spread across a variety of games and audiences, taking place between May 3rd-6th, alongside other customer rewards.

ESI London 2024

SideQuest is a chain of gaming and esports cafes in the United Kingdom. The brand has branches in Coventry, Leicester, Canterbury and two in London (Charing Cross and Elephant & Castle).

To mark its anniversary, SideQuest said that anyone with an active paid membership on May 6th will have their benefits doubled.

Celebrations kick off on May 3rd with Cosy Quest, which SideQuest describes as a fan favourite. Cosy Quest is an event designed to provide a safe space for women and non-binary people to game and nurture communities.

During the event PCs, Nintendo Switches and PS5s will be made available, with some PCs unlocked so that users without a SideQuest account can also play. The Cosy Quest event will be held at SideQuest’s Elephant Park (London) and Leicester branches.

On May 4th, the gaming cafe chain’s Coventry branch will host Racing Challenge, a new event where players can compete in racing simulators. Attendees will be tasked with beating a certain lap time and, if successful, spinning a wheel of fortune for prizes, including free SideQuest gaming time and free drinks.

On May 5th, the Elephant Park venue will hold another event: the Tekken Showdown. The Showdown is a monthly event held at the Elephant Park hub, and on May 5th a prize pool starting at £100 will be up for grabs.

Finally, May 6th will feature SideQuest’s main anniversary event: the Anniversary Leaderboard extravaganza. Held at the Charing Cross (London) branch, this event will feature four leaderboards — one for Tekken, Mario Kart, VALORANT and Fall Guys respectively.

Players will be required to complete in-game challenges assigned by SideQuest and their score will be added to the leaderboard. Everyone on the leaderboard will be eligible to spin the wheel of fortune, while players who place the highest on the leaderboard will win a gaming chair and other gaming peripherals. The event will also feature other celebratory activities such as free cupcakes.
