Esports tournament platform Challengermode has been named the platform operator for online tournaments during the Madden NFL 25 Championship Series (MCS).

The platform will host online tournaments that will take place from August until February 2025.

Challengermode will utilise its tools to host the MCS space, a dedicated hub for the tournament on the platform. The hub provides players, staff and spectators with the tools to operate and watch the competition. A release reveals that teams using the platform can ‘update their hub at any time, maintaining control over content and layout throughout the season.’

Qualifiers for the season-ending Madden Bowl begin on August 14th and are open to players in the United States, Canada, Mexico, the United Kingdom, Germany and Australia.

The NFL is no stranger to the world of esports. In 2023, the American Football league partnered with the United Service Organisations (USO), a military-focused non-profit organisation. More recently, EA SPORTS expanded its existing deal with the NFL to scale up the MCS with a higher prize pool and monthly challenges.

Challengermode has cemented its position as a prominent online esports platform over the years. Alongside the NFL, it has collaborated with the International Esports Federation (IESF) and Man City Esports.

Philip Hübner, Chief Business Development Officer at Challengermode, spoke on the news: “We’re looking forward to working with the Madden esports team to drive innovation and support their efforts for the program in the coming year.

“We’re confident that our toolbox and customizability can offer the MCS community a world-class experience.”
