HEROIC has announced Linus ‘nilo’ Bergman has returned to the starting lineup of its Counter-Strike 2 roster after being promoted from the substitute bench.

The return of the 20-year-old Swedish player to the Scandinavian esports organisation completes its lineup competing in Valve’s first-person shooter title.

Prior to returning to HEROIC, nilo has spent the last six months absent from Counter-Strike esports after being transferred to Metizport at the start of the year. During his tenure at Metizport, the Swede didn’t represent the organisation in any matches due to undisclosed personal circumstances.

Nilo now returns to HEROIC following the departures of Alvaro ‘SunPayus’ Garcia and Eetu ‘sAw’ Saha, who have moved to G2 Esports following the conclusion of the Austin Major.

In addition to nilo, HEROIC has also signed Gleb ‘gr1ks’ Gazin to its Counter-Strike roster. The young AWPer joins the organisation following spells under Aurora Gaming and Astrum.

As a result of nilo’s return, HEROIC has moved Yasin ‘xfl0ud’ Koç to the bench.

Following the departures of SunPayus and sAw, the organisation had to rebuild for the second half of 2025. The post-major off-season hasn’t lasted long for the organisation, as it is one of 16 teams competing in the FISSURE Playground #1 event, taking place from July 15th to 20th, 2025.

HEROIC in 2025

HEROIC has had a solid first half of 2025 despite being eliminated from the Austin Major in Stage 2. The organisation won the Spring edition of the Nomadic Spring Masters along with the CCT Season 2 Global Finals, establishing itself as one of Europe’s top teams.

Heading into the remainder of the year, the organisation will look to rectify its disappointing Major performance with a strong showing at FISSURE Playground #1 and IEM Cologne, where it has a chance to showcase its new lineup against the very best in the world.
