NRG has announced the signing of Carson ‘nosraC’ O’Reilly and Zack ‘XotiC’ Elshani to its Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) roster.
The signings follow the removal of Jadan ‘HexT’ Postma and Josh ‘oSee’ Ohm after a run of disappointing performances.
NosraC will join former teammate Jeorge ‘Jeorge’ Endicott on NRG, having competed alongside the rifler under the Nouns Esports banner from 2022 to 2024.
XotiC has represented the likes of Splyce and Rebirth Esports during his CS:GO career, with NRG becoming the AWPer’s second CS2 team after playing for Getting Info during the first half of 2025.
NRG becomes the latest North American esports organisation to overhaul its CS2 team in a bid to begin the second half of 2025 on the front foot. In July, M80 and Wildcard have recruited new players to climb the Valve Regional Standings (VRS) and secure a place in the top 32 before the StarLadder Budapest Major in November.
2025 has been a year of mixed results for NRG’s CS2 team. In May, victory in Season 49 of ESL Challenger League cemented its place as one of the stronger sides in North America. The form was unable to be replicated on the international stage, with a top 16 placement at IEM Dallas and a top 27 finish at the BLAST.tv Austin Major.
What Next For NRG CS2?
The new-look NRG side will make its tournament debut at Fragadelphia 19, taking place from July 17th to 20th in Windsor, Canada. The event will feature several North American teams competing to earn VRS points and a significant portion of a $35,000 (~£25,740) prize pool.
Currently ranked 36th in the VRS, NRG sits just outside the top 32 teams in the global rankings.
NRG is also set to compete in ESL Pro League Season 22, after receiving a direct invite to the first stage of the tournament, taking place in late September.
