Marvel Rivals Ignite Mid Season Finals has concluded its Play-In Stage, with some of the top teams around the world competing in Guangzhou, China.

Following a day of action, EMEA team Rad EU and American organisation ENVY have progressed to the Main Stage after defeating Nova Esports and Gen.G Esports, respectively. Here’s a rundown of all the Play-In Stage action.

ENVY’s Explosive Start To Ignite

The top team of the Play-In Stage was undoubtedly ENVY, which provided the strongest performance so far. It began the Upper Bracket Semi-Finals with a 2-0 win against Gen.G Esports, winning both matches on Celestial Husk and Yggdrasill Path.

It then moved onto the Upper Bracket Finals, where it defeated Rad EU 2-0. However, this win was much harder to achieve. ENVY saw narrow victories on both Hell’s Heaven in match one, and a close 4-3 score in Hall of Djalia on match two.

However, its undefeated record saw ENVY became the first team to successfully qualify for the Main Stage. The American representative is scheduled to face off against EMEA Champions Citadel Gaming, formerly Brr Brr Patapim.

Rad EU Claws Its Way Back to Victory

Rad EU qualifies as the second team to win the Play-In Stage, but almost lost its chance after being knocked down to the Lower Brackets at the hands of ENVY.

In the Lower Bracket Finals, Rad EU won 2-0 against China’s Stage 1 runners-up, Nova Esports. It finished match one with a close 2-1 win on Hell’s Heaven, before concluding match two with a decisive 3-0 score on Symbiotic Surface.

Rad EU now moves on to the Main Stage, and begins its new quest with a match against Americas Stage 1 champions Sentinels.
