Gaming hardware brand ASUS Republic of Gamers has teamed up with the University of California, Berkeley (UC Berkeley) to support its Cal Esports programme.

ASUS Republic of Gamers will provide funding, equipment and programming support for the programme and its Cal Esports Community Centre.

According to a release, the facility will be given ROG and TUF Gaming desktops, components and GeForce RTX 30 series graphics cards. In addition, ASUS will collaborate with the university on Game Fit, a wellness and fitness programme designed for Cal Esports’ community.

From a competitive esports perspective, collegiate esports competitions held on UC Berkeley campus will be co-sponsored by ASUS.

In recent months ASUS has been quite active in esports on the partnerships front. In July, the Gaming hardware brand sponsored the Gamers8 festival and ESL Pro League Conference.

Meanwhile, it was a head partner of June’s $250,000 (~£199,130) Pinnacle Cup Championship.

Alongside sponsoring the university’s esports event, ASUS will also host Game Talks, a series of career development and internship workshops as well as support UC Berkeley’s Marginalized Genders in Gaming initiative.

“ASUS is looking forward to partnering with the Cal Esports community to support grassroots competitive PC gaming and pave the way for valuable professional development opportunities within the STEM and gaming space.”

The all-encompassing sponsorship deal will also see ASUS serve as a main event partner for UC Berkeley’s annual Caltopia, a two-day interactive festival that introduces the university’s students to a variety of brands.

We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
