CS:GO tournament series Champion of Champions Tour (CCT) has announced its expansion into the Oceania region.

The new regional competition will be operated by Oceanic tournament organiser and broadcasting company LetsPlay.Live, which will host a range of online competitions containing a combined prize pool of $40,000 AUD (~£20,305).

According to a release, CCT will provide teams in the region with opportunities to compete and qualify for the season-ending Global Finals.

The online cups will enable teams from Australia and New Zealand to earn points through the Champion of Champions Tour system, resulting in them qualifying for the CCT Global Finals. The first Oceania tournament is set to take place in September 2023.

Organised by GRID Esports, the CCT now operates its CS:GO series across Europe, the Americas, and Oceania. In February 2023, it secured a deal with sports subscription service DAZN resulting in all CCT events being broadcast on the platform.

Fabian Logemann, Head of Tournaments at GRID Esports, spoke on the news: “We have been following the developments of the region and LPL’s efforts for a while now and have been incredibly impressed with their dedication to uplifting esports in this market.

“Our goals of creating opportunities for all participants is incredibly aligned, so joining forces was an easy decision for us. We couldn’t be more excited to bring the CCT to Oceania with such a strong partner on our side.”

We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
