Esports industry awards show Esports Awards has partnered with professional golf tour LIV Golf.

As a result, LIV Golf will host the third Esports Awards Open golf competition. According to a release, both brands will also create other events to highlight the 2023 ceremony.

The Esports Awards Open powered by LIV Golf will take place at the Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort. The event will feature a range of esports players, influencers, and professional golfers including 2020 US Open champion Bryson DeChambeau.

Founded in 2021, LIV Golf is owned by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund. Like Saudi Arabia’s efforts to expand into the esports industry, LIV Golf has come under criticism due to fears of sportswashing in an attempt to mask the country’s human rights record. LIV Tour is still undergoing a potential merger with PGA Tour, however, this has yet to be completed.

LIV Golf becomes the ninth partner of the 2023 Esports Awards. It joins the likes of Lexus, XIX Vodka, Oakley, and internet service provider Xfinity on its roster.

In addition to partnering with LIV Golf, the Esports Awards has named Alex ‘Goldenboy’ Mendez and Miles Ross as the hosts of the ceremony taking place in Las Vegas. The Esports Awards was designed to celebrate some of the best in the industry, including players, organisations, teams, and other figures from various areas of esports. The ceremony is set to begin on November 29th and 30th.

Michael Ashford, CEO of the Esports Awards, spoke on the deal: “I’m delighted to welcome LIV Golf into the Esports Awards family. Together, we’ll bridge the gap between sports stars, celebrities, and gaming professionals to bring unforgettable experiences to Las Vegas next week.

“The Esports Awards Open is a tradition we absolutely adore, it sets out to bring all types of members of the industry, and those interested in the industry, together for a day of fun-filled golfing.”

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
