North American esports organisation Team Liquid has announced plans to continue its Eve Ascension series in 2024.

The game-agnostic series will focus on World of Warcraft and features two tournaments aiming to raise awareness of communities for marginalised gender gamers.

In collaboration with gaming PC brand Ailenware and World of Warcraft website Raider.IO, the 2024 edition of Eve Ascension will feature two tournaments. The first will take place from May 17th through to June 29th where participating teams will compete for its $10,000 (~£8,088) prize pool.

The qualifiers for the tournament begin on May 28th with the top four teams securing a place in the live tournament which will be broadcast on Team Liquid’s Twitch channel. According to a release, details on the second tournament will be revealed at a later date.

The Eve Ascension initiative began in 2022 and utilises tournaments, events, and community involvement to provide a safe space for gamers of all backgrounds. The first edition was a VALORANT tournament, with last year’s series focusing on World of Warcraft. Presented alongside Alienware, the initiative aims to tackle toxicity and harassment faced by women and marginalised genders.

Team Liquid continues to expand its presence within the esports industry through new partnerships. In March 2024, it partnered with Carrefour Brazil to launch a gaming-focused campaign and in February, the organisation joined forces with Sui to build a loyalty platform for its fans.

In the announcement, a statement from Raider.IO noted: “Raider.IO is proud to be a Black-owned business, with a team of 50% women and gender minorities, including in leadership positions. Raider.IO staff proudly includes members of the LGBTQIA+ community, persons of colour, and people from around the world – all coming together with their different cultures and experiences!”

We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
