OverTake, a product of gaming and esports marketing communications agency Freaks 4U Gaming, has launched as a new platform for racing esports.

The website will cover news, events, and interviews across various racing esports titles. In its bid to provide a one-stop-shop for all consumers of racing esports content, it will also offer more educational player-focused material such as gaming tutorials, and reviews of software and hardware.

OverTake describes itself as “a hub where professionals, fans, even casual gamers can turn to, and level up their race” on its website, where it also hosts the original talk show “Nitro Nights,” a regular video series featuring several industry giants from across esports and racing.

Sim racing has been on a sharp rise in recent months, with simulation racing earning extra attention since the spread of COVID-19 led to the cancellation or postponement of all major international racing events. Instead, digital replacements such as Formula 1’s Virtual Grand Prix—which saw a “phenomenal” reception, according to Dr. Julian Tan, F1’s Head of Digital Business Initiatives and Esports—have taken centre stage, often bolstered by celebrity guests, including professional drivers, major streamers, and famous athletes from across a variety of popular sports.

Kristin Banse, Editor in Chief at OverTake, spoke to Esports Insider regarding the platform’s official launch: “We have been working on this project for several months already and couldn’t be more excited to share it with the esports racing community.

“Our goal with OverTake is to give esports racing an appropriate home and gather the fragmented community in one place. To do so, we offer a community platform with high quality editorial content, live streams and entertaining studio productions to a broad target audience.”

Esports Insider says: Freaks 4U Gaming has majorly bolstered its (already considerable) gaming and esports offerings with the launch of the OverTake platform, which looks like a truly comprehensive pit stop for fans of sim racing.

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
