MOONTON Games, the developers of mobile MOBA game Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB), have announced a myriad of details regarding its upcoming MPL MENA Spring Split.

The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) will continue to have its MENA competition produced by Esports Middle East, with the Spring Split lasting from March to May 2023. The league will have a $107,000 (~£89,000) prize pool, which includes both cash and in-game currency, as well as seed a team for the MLBB Southeast Asia Cup for the first time.

MPL MENA is the top-flight league in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang for North Africa and the Middle East. The league was formed in 2022, with two splits taking place over the year. The league is open to all interested teams from over 20 MENA countries and will start with open qualifiers in early March. The last event of the Spring Split will be the Grand Final in May 2023.

MPL MENA is a part of the MPL series of leagues, together with other regional competitions such as MPL Philippines, MPL Singapore and MPL Malaysia. Throughout the season, leagues seed teams for both the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Southeast Asia Cup and the Mobile Legends World Championship.

MPL MENA’s best team in the Spring Split will get a chance to participate in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Southeast Asia Cup, one of the most prominent competitions in MLBB. The event attracted more than 2.5m peak viewers for its 2022 edition in Malaysia.
