European esports organisation G2 Esports has announced a partnership with German data and analytics company Shikenso Analytics.
The partnership will see G2 Esports use Shikenso Analytics’ AI-based tools to monitor the organisation’s partnerships and their performance. The exact length of the partnership was not disclosed.
With the ability to monitor the performance of its partnerships across social media and streaming channels, G2 Esports plans to ‘enhance the effectiveness’ of its existing deals in addition to expanding its global presence.
G2 Esports becomes the latest organisation to join forces with Shikenso Analytics. The data company provides its analytics tools to a number of tournament organisers and organisations including French organisation Team Vitality, Swedish organisation 9INE, and the Dota 2 Bali Major.
Shikenso Analytics is the 17th partner of G2 Esports. In recent months, the organisation has partnered with the likes of comic book publisher DC Comics and American fashion company Ralph Lauren.
Alongside its deals with non-endemic brands, G2 Esports joined forces with Philippine-based organisation Blacklist International to create a League of Legends: Wild Rift roster, marking G2’s first foray into mobile esports.
Sabrina Ratih, COO of G2 Esports, spoke on the deal: “As one of the leading global esports and entertainment organisations, it’s essential for us to be equipped to make data-informed decisions, and continue to deliver consistent best-in-class services for our partners.
“With Shikenso, we’ve found a trusted independent partner who will be able to support us, alongside our strong in-house data capabilities, with reliable data and analytics that will enable us to make the best decisions for our fans and partners.”
