UK university esports body National Student Esports has renewed its partnership with Snack brand Pringles for the British University Esports Championship (BUEC).

As an official partner, Pringles will have its own dedicated space within NSE’s area at Insomnia’s gaming festival, i72, where the BUEC finals will be held.

Alongside the live finals, which sees universities compete across a range of esports titles, Pringles will also host other community events throughout this year. Exact details were not disclosed, however, a release notes the events will focus on ‘fun formats’ for students of all skill levels.

The company previously partnered with NSE in 2023 for last year’s British University Esports Championship (BUEC).

The British University Esports Championship features a range of esports titles including VALORANT, Teamfight Tactics, Rocket League, League of Legends, Overwatch 2, Dota 2 and Apex Legends.

Pringles joins an expanding roster of NSE commercial partners for the British University Esports Championship. This includes the likes of Intel, Scan Computers, Monster Energy, UNiDAYS and DrayTek.

Moreover, Pringles’ collaboration is one of many deals the snack brand has struck in the esports industry throughout the years. In 2020, the brand was named a partner for G2 Esports and League of Legends’ LEC. Moreover, last year, Pringles teamed up with agency Unlocked to launch a year-long European gaming influencer campaign called #StayintheGame.

Evie Pickering, brand activation executive at Pringles UK, commented: “It’s great to sign with NSE, reaffirming our commitment to connecting with university students and expanding our footprint in the university esports scene.

“This collaboration reinforces our belief in the power of bringing people together to create unforgettable moments. We can’t wait to see the incredible passion and talent that these students will undoubtedly showcase.”
