North American sports clothing brand Champion has partnered with Brazilian esports organisation FURIA to produce a limited-edition apparel collection.

The collection will include 12 separate products, eight of which will be t-shirts, with three hooded sweatshirts and one crew neck sweatshirt. The items in this collection will feature interpretations of FURIA’s mascot as well as Champion and FURIA’s branding.

According to a release, the FURIA panther will feature in three graphic designs, one as a ‘classic 1960s and 1970s mascot’, another with the panther wearing a Champion hooded sweatshirt and the final featuring the panther alongside the Champion arch graphic. Other parts of the collections will feature a ‘Logo Lockup’ — an exclusive version of the Champion and FURIA logos.

Three members of FURIA have been chosen to feature in the photo campaign as part of the Champion and FURIA deal. These are content creator Arapê, YouTuber Brino, and Counter-Strike player Gabriela ‘Gabs’ Freindorfer.

Big esports organisations partnering with clothing brands to create custom and exclusive apparel collections have become quite common over the years. Other organisations such as 100 Thieves and G2 esports have secured similar deals, with OpTic going one step further to partner with Italian Football team Juventus alongside Adidas to create its own collection.

For Champion, this is not the first time the company has partnered with an esports organisation. The company has previously worked with Team BDS, Fnatic and Luminosity, amongst many others. The brand has done deals to produce specific merchandise, jerseys and a capsule collection.

For FURIA this follows on from a recent deal with Crunchyroll, where the two companies came together to create a My Hero Academia merch line.

The Champion x FURIA collection is a special limited edition collection and will be exclusive to the online stores of both FURIA and Champion. It will also be available for purchase in person at the Champion Store on Augusta Street in São Paulo.
