Marvel Rivals Season 3 roadmap revealed

NetEase has revealed its roadmap for the first half of Marvel Rivals Season 3: The Abyss Awakens, running from July 11th to August 8th, 2025.

The roadmap for Season 3 details various skin launches, a new limited-time event, another Team-Up ability, and more for players to experience.

In a post online, Marvel Rivals wrote: “Discover what lies ahead for our latest Season, featuring new heroes, events, a brand new battle pass kicking off on Day 1, and so much more! A special summer event is also heading your way, and our Rivals are ready to take on the heat!”

This is the full roadmap as revealed online by the official Marvel Rivals account:

  • July 11th, 2025
    • New hero (Phoenix)
    • New map (Klyntar: Celestial Husk)
    • New event (Milano Repair logs)
  • July 18th, 2025
    • Marvel Rivals swimsuits (Loki, Thor, Punisher, Psylocke, Luna Snow)
    • Summer special event
  • July 25th, 2025:
    • Marvel Studios’ The Fantastic Four: First Steps skins (The Thing, Human Torch, Invisible Woman, Mister Fantastic)
    • Special Team-Up (The Thing, Human Torch)
  • August 1st, 2025:
    • Phoenix Demon skin (Magik)
    • Phoenix Panther skin (Black Panther)
  • August 8th, 2025:
    • Season 3.5 begins.

Marvel Rivals noted that maintenance is underway for the new season. Starting July 11th at 2am PDT (10am BST), the maintenance is expected to last for 2/3 hours. During this period, servers will be offline.

Esports Events for Marvel Rivals Season 3

Various esports events will be taking place throughout Season 3 where players can expect to see these new skins, Team-Ups and more being used.

The biggest event is the Marvel Rivals Ignite Mid-Season Finals, which will see regional champions such as Sentinels and Brr Brr Patapim go head to head for the lion’s share of a $500,000 (~£369,000) prize pool.

Marvel Rivals Ignite Stage 2 begins on August 1st with Open Qualifiers for every region, with the top teams competing against the invited teams from Stage 1.

The PlayStation Cup also runs every month, with two challenges running from July 1st-26th and August 1st to 30th. Here, any player can register for the chance to win Units, a Faction Trophy, Titles and more for their team.
