From EMEA to Asia, the top teams in each region will compete for the lion’s share of a $250,000 (~£187,350) prize pool and earn a place in the Ignite Grand Finals later this year.

  • insomnia
  • OG Seed
  • Virtus.pro

Teams to keep an eye on include Natus Vincere, which signed the Ignite Mid-Season Finals champion roster. So far, it has placed second in its respective group, ending with a 3-1 win/loss ratio.

Virtus.pro is looking to make a huge comeback after previously missing out on the Mid Season Finals. The roster has returned to Stage 2 with vengeance, topping its respective group with a 4-1 win/loss ratio, though only time will tell if the roster can successfully qualify for the Grand Finals.

The top-performing team so far is Citadel Gaming, which signed the EMEA Stage 1 champions, topping its group with a 5-1 win/loss ratio. As it stands, it is the team to beat.

Asia Ignite Stage 2 Playoffs

Ignite Stage 2 Oceania

Oceania may have the fewest number of teams competing, but the competition is just as fierce as four teams exit the tournament, and four others make it to the Playoffs.

The Oceania Stage 1 runners-up, The Vicious, have been knocked out of the competition, meaning it is all to play for in pursuit of the single qualification spot for the Ignite Grand Finals.

The Americas and China have also seen major updates. America’s second week of the Group Stage is set to begin on October 2nd, and Ignite Stage 2 in China recently concluded.

Over in China, OUG became the Ignite Stage 2 champions after defeating Aconyx 4-1. Both teams have been confirmed to be the first successful participants of the Ignite Grand Finals.

Americas, so far, has seen teams like Sentinels and 100 Thieves gain an early lead, with other rosters like DarkZero at risk of elimination. Only time will tell which teams from Americas will survive to the Playoffs.
