Danish esports organisation Astralis has announced a new partnership with online casino and sportsbook platform Stake.
The collaboration sees Stake become the organisation’s official betting partner, bringing fan activations, digital campaigns, and content to Astralis’ platforms.
According to the announcement, the partnership was sealed following Stake securing a ‘newly activated Danish license’ lasting for five years.
“Stake is entering the Danish market with global momentum,” Jakob Kristensen, CRO of Astralis, wrote online. “And doing so together with Astralis reflects the strength of our platform, our audience, and our long-term vision for esports as mainstream entertainment.
“We see significant opportunities to innovate, grow fan engagement, and help shape the next phase of our industry.”
Astralis has become the latest esports organisation to partner with Stake, which has also signed a multi-year partnership with French brand Team Vitality. Astralis has also partnered with several brands over the years, from the GoWish collaboration in 2024 to its current partners Bazcom and ZOWIE.
“We take immense pride in every partner within our portfolio,” added Akhil Sarin, CMO of Easygo and Stake. “From global sports icons to the digital creators who define the internet era. Stake is a digital-native brand; we were born on the internet, and we live for this culture.
“Tying our story to a legend of the game like Astralis is both a strategic milestone and a celebration of our newly activated Danish license.”
Astralis Esports Journey in Counter-Strike 2
Astralis has fielded teams across several competitive titles over the years, from Rainbow Six Siege to League of Legends. However, it is best known for its performance in the Counter-Strike 2 esports scene, which it has been a part of since 2016 after rebranding from Team Questionmark.
In early 2025, Astralis placed third in PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025 after losing 2-1 to FaZe Clan, though it secured $150,000 (~£111,840) in winnings. After several months of early elimination in BLAST Open Spring and PGL Bucharest, Astralis placed runner-up in PGL Astana in May 2025, losing 3-1 to Team Spirit in the Grand Finals.
Through its performance across several S-Tier events, Astralis was invited to the Counter-Strike 2 tournament of the Esports World Cup 2025 based on the VRS June rankings. It placed between ninth and 16th overall, taking home $20,000 (~£14,910) in winnings.
In 2026, Astralis notably placed seventh/eighth at IEM Kraków, after losing 2-1 to FURIA during the Group Stage. Its most recent appearance was at PGL Cluj Napoca 2026, where it placed between ninth and eleventh overall.
