Marvel Rivals Ignite Mid Season Finals has crowned its international champions after nearly a week of action-packed matches from some of the best teams across the globe.

The competition peaked with a rematch between ENVY and Rad EU in the Grand Finals, two teams that started the event in the Play-Ins. After six intense matches, Rad EU made history and took home the win, becoming Marvel Rivals’ first international champion.

100 Thieves Knocked Out

After being knocked down to the Lower Bracket Finals by ENVY, 100 Thieves was determined to reach the Grand Finals for a rematch.

However, the Americas Stage 1 runners-up got eliminated from the competition following a 3-0 loss to Rad EU. The organisation has placed third in the competition overall and leaves with $60,000 (~£44,600) in winnings.

This landslide win did not come easily, however. Rad EU won 2-1 on the first map, Celestial Husk, followed by another 2-1 win on Central Park. With its back against the wall, 100 Thieves fought fiercely on Yggdrasill Path, but ultimately lost 2-3 to the EMEA Stage 1 runners-up.

With another win under its belt, Rad EU became the second team to qualify for the Grand Finals, playing against ENVY. This would mean that both qualified teams from the Play-In Stage would face off once again in the Grand Finals.

Both Rad EU and ENVY have made major statements throughout the tournament. Starting from the bottom, both teams toppled regional champions, including Sentinels and Citadel Gaming, to reach the Bo7 Grand Finals.

Rad EU kicked off the Grand Finals with a 2-0 win on Celestial Husk, followed by ENVY taking match two with a 4-3 win on Yggdrasill Path. Rad EU were victorious in the third match, ending 3-2 on Hall of Djalia, and the fourth with a 2-1 win on Hell’s Heaven.

ENVY held on with a 3-2 win at Central Park. However, in the end, Rad EU claimed its revenge victory against the American team after winning 2-1 on Spider-Islands, ending 4-2 overall.

Rad EU has been crowned the champions of Marvel Rivals Ignite Mid Season Finals, the game’s first major international LAN event, and leaves the tournament with $160,000 (~£124,800) in winnings.
