G2 Esports has become the latest esports organisation to partner with cloud infrastructure provider Theta Network, transforming its Sami mascot into an AI agent.

Sami has now been integrated into G2’s socials, including its website and Discord server, to assist fans with their queries about the organisation.

According to G2 Esports, the AI agent is capable of providing team information, match schedules, player rosters, tournament standings, and competitive updates for all of the brand’s esports divisions.

Mitch Liu, CEO of Theta Labs, said: “We’re proud we’ve created something that fits their community and is simple for them to implement.

“What we’re seeing across our esports partnerships is that fans want immediate access to information 24/7, and our AI agents make it possible to deliver that level of engagement consistently across every channel, but with its own distinct personality.”

Theta Network continues to expand its portfolio of partnered esports teams, creating AI agents for esports organisations such as Cloud9, NRG, Sentinels, Dignitas, 100 Thieves and more.

G2 Esports’ Continued Growth in Esports

G2 Esports has continued to expand its presence within the esports ecosystem in 2026, securing competitive successes, partnerships and more.

The organisation has teamed up with several organisations since the year began, from working with NORD Esports to launch a tier-two team in League of Legends and announcing a betting partnership with French gambling company Winamax.

G2 Esports was the most viewed Rainbow Six Siege team on Liquipedia in 2025. It won all regional VCT Americas events last year and was also one of 20 teams that qualified for the Six invitational 2026 in Paris. However, the organisation was eliminated during the Playoffs after losing 1-2 to Team Secret.

G2 currently fields several teams across a number of competitive titles, including League of Legends, Counter-Strike 2, Rainbow Six Siege, VALORANT and Call of Duty.

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
