Digital production company StudioNow has acquired esports talent agency Bad Moon Talent.

As a result, Bad Moon Talent will be incorporated into StudioNow. Moreover, the digital production company will use its connections in the gaming and esports industries to improve offerings to clients.

Financial details of the acquisition have not been disclosed.

Bad Moon Talent has notably developed a relationship with sports and esports agency SPORTFIVE, and is the agency of record for Team Evolve. Bad Moon Talent also works with other brands, such as mechanical keyboard brand Matrix Keyboards.

StudioNow is a visual content production company from the United States. Founded in 2006, the company is known for its content marketplace which can be used by companies to improve content creation goals. StudioNow acquired Snapwire in 2022, further improving its offerings, and is now moving into the esports and gaming influencers space with Bad Moon Talent.

The main reason for the acquisition is influencer marketing, according to the two companies. As a part of StudioNow, Bad Moon Talent will help provide access to social and streaming capabilities for influencer marketing campaigns, as well as be able to offer an improved production infrastructure to influencers that work with brands.

Clients will also have a single point of entry to search and collaborate with Bad Moon Talent’s roster, alongside existing StudioNow staff.

Co-founder and CEO of Bad Moon Talent, Andrew Drake, commented: “By presenting more engaging ways to collaborate with creators and brands, we are confident in our ability to generate increased income for digital talent while offering more cost-effective storytelling methods for brands.”

David Mason, Founder and CEO of StudioNow added that the company feels like brands will use influencers more to improve offerings in the future, and that the acquisition puts StudioNow in a good position to offer value.
